Research on Cognitive Psychology

Welcome to the online home of Michael J. Proulx's research on cognition.  I am interested in all areas of cognitive psychology, with a research focus on crossmodal perception, synaesthesia, sensory substitution, attention, visual search, conceptual learning, and the evolutionary foundations of cognition.

My published papers on cognitive psychology can be accessed via my CV or at the Curriculum Vitae link at the top of this page.

Teaching
Teaching is invigorating! Whether it is in a large lecture hall, a small seminar, or in the lab with a research assistant, there is no better chance to share my passion for psychological science and to enrich my own research at the same time.  I am interested in teaching a wide spectrum of courses, from an introductory psychology course to a specialized research seminar with advanced students.
